A new, one-hour episode airs tonight at 9 PM Eastern. This is for the 150th episode of the series. Here is the synopsis:

Is there anyone who doesn't think this'll be a clip show? Fox won't say it, and why would they, but...locked in a bank vault for one hour....it's pretty obvious.

It'd suck if it was a clip show.
I have all the Stewie and Brian episodes already on my DVR, I can just watch them all now if I want too. Why? Cuz I normally love Stewie and Brian episodes, when there together. I hope they just show them trying to get out, having a new song and finding new things. If its a clip show, that'd disapoint me :( Guess I'll record it and wait to see.

Even though it is supposedly an hour-long episode, it's only sceduled to take up 30 minutes on Adult Swim next week. So, I'm guessing the first half will be the actual episode, and the 2nd half will be a clip show like the one they showed before the 100th episode.

Damn you MacFarlane for making me slightly tear up. I think we've grown to know these characters since 1999, and seeing them actually get this deep into it....kinda personal.

Yeah, anyone who says this show doesn't have character development has this episode to prove them wrong. And this episode wouldn't have worked at all without ten years of Brian and Stewie interaction to play off of.

I just read some quotes from Kara Vallow on the episode. Actually, it sounds like they added clips to the end to pad it out, because the episode itself runs six minutes longer and they couldn't bear to cut any of it, so they made it the 150th as an excuse to expand it to an hour.

It's based on the All in the Family episode where Archie locks himself in the basement all night alone with a bottle of vodka. So....this is actually being played seriously, with no cutaways. That's right....no cutaways. This is gonna be different to say the least.

As planned, I skipped the main program (with me watching tonight's Cleveland Show, which I recorded on my new DVR box, instead), and only tuned in to the "main" part during the final minutes. In the end, I pretty much felt that I did the right thing, as this episode was exactly as I expected: one that is WAY too gimmicky (i.e. not relying on cutaways, going the "Emmys bait" path by getting all "serious" at the end).

My cable guide indicates that the first half hour or so is the episode and the second half hour is a clip show of fan favorite musical moments and numbers that never made it to air. Quite possibly "The List" is seeing it's TV debut tonight.
