Family Guy - "Baby, You Knock Me Out" - Talkback [11/14]

Lois beating the odds and coming out on top in that fight with a world champion female boxer was just silly. Family Guy isn't exactly a believable animated sitcom, but still, there was no logic behind her actually winning that fight.

Eh, this episode kind of felt like a rehash of a similar episode from King of the Hill. It was ok, but I liked that one better.

Episode started pretty slow, but it picked up halfway through, and there was a good handful of jokes to keep me interested. I did miss about 5 minutes though, so I was able to come back around the time Lois entered the second round in her final fight. The gag was ruined by promos, but Peter singing Eye of the Tiger still got a laugh out of me.

I enjoyed this episode, despite it being a rehash of that episode where Lois learns martial arts. Though I am surprised it took them this long to do a full on parody of Rocky, considering the number of Rocky jokes they have thrown at us over the years. Got to give Lois props for that fight.

Awesome/hilarious episode and my top favorite,

The highlights:
Just like they did the episode with Lois doing martial arts/karate, sweet.
Peter being excited for his birthday was funny.
Peter not inviting Meg was funny, the Meg-bashing moments get more funnier by the minute, hehehe.
Cleveland's moments in the card were hilarious when he got busted by the police, hahahahaha.
Foxy Boxing is awesome.
Peter making Lois box is brilliant, just like Luann boxing from King Of The Hill.
Lois vs. the hot boxing chick was an awesome boxing catfight when her hidden rage took over, go Lois:eek::D!!!!!
Glen stealing the hot boxing chick's knocked-out body was funny, hahahaha.
Brian with the Daily Growl newspaper toy was funny.
Lois seeing Peter in her mind to her boxing opponent was disturbing/funny, hahahaha.
Peter being the reason behind her hidden rage was great since Peter is the best horrible husband for her like Stan Smith, hahahaha:p:D.
Peter breaking the windows if he doesn't get his flapjacks.
The Peter burping loud in the parking lot gag, hahahaha.
The Rocky reference added to it was great.
Lois chasing Brian was hilarious, hahahahaha.
Nice to see Herbert, hehehe.
Peter's definition of anime was funny.
Peter knowing about Lois's reason and redeeming himself was great/touching.
Mayor Adam West, hilarious as ever, hahahaha.
Deirdre Jackson is one scary deadly villainess and a great new enemy for poor Lois, I always loved that formula in Rocky parodying fighting episodes when they bring that Ivan Drago-like scary tough powerhouse fighter to challenge the main hero/heroine, hehehe.
Deirdre milking Peter was gross/funny.
Floyd's face is so badly messed-up, yikes!!!!!
Bruce being the referee was nice.
Lois vs. Deirdre is one awesome hardcore boxing catfight, poor Lois totally took a brutal pummeling there.
Meg's "good" comment while Lois is taking a pummeling which is her revenge on Lois for bashing on Meg, hehehe.
Angela has such a gross body, hahahaha.
Peter talking on the wrong corner and singing the Eye Of The Tiger song was funny.
Lois getting knocked-down and overpowering/beating Deirdre was epic, go Lois, so reminding me of the awesome Randy vs. Bat Dad fight, hehehe:eek::D.
Peter's milking joke at the end was gross/funny.

I am a bit disappointed that there was not a single reference to the episode Lethal Weapons. I was at least expecting that Lois would say that she no longer wants to fight because of the events of that episode.

Also, is it me, or was Stewie a bit out of place in this episode? He only had like, 3 lines, and none of them fit into his characteristics much. Heck, Meg's comment should have been said by Stewie, but after remembring how bad of a mom Lois was in the episode "Stew-oids" to Meg, she had it coming. ;)

How is that Meg bashing whatsoever?! It was a just a harmless gag. What's next, do you consider someone just touching her bashing?

True. Peter's done worse before. Plus in the next scene, Meg shows up at the party anyway. Lol.

The Cleveland part was funny too, but I thought it dragged on for a bit too long.

Bruce as the referee was pretty good too. Though I was hoping to hear his famous 'Oh no.'
