A new episode airs tonight at 9 PM Eastern. Here is the synopsis:

Definitely excited for this tonight, especially since

This is the Family Guy/American Dad crossover episode.

Again, once you get past the let down of not getting the second part of the Cartman's mom thing, the Not Without My Anus episode was awesome just because it was so random and ridiculous.

Look at me, defending South Park in a Family Guy thread. But seriously I think people are over reacting a little much over this.

This was extremely weak compared to other episodes that I took a chance on watching this season. Gags ranged from so-so to poor (Joe praises Quagmire for sleeping with his wife whereas Cleveland spent most of an episode wanting to kill him for it? Seriously?), the episode climaxed on a hopelessly transparent joke, and the decent second half is conveniently and all-too-quickly resolved with shameless product placement. If most of this episode had been devoted to the part 2 plot it might have managed to be well above average, but it was not to be.

Bonus points for Brian being taken down a peg once again, however.

You know what was missing? Revenge against channel 5. Now that could have made this really funny.

Oh, and I didn't hear about the crossover, so I wasn't let down by its absence. Though I wouldn't have much cared if I had heard, honestly. Besides, American Dad already crossed over with Family Guy thanks to Stewie Kills Lois.

It's funny, you guys are giving Seth and the writers the exact reaction they were looking for. They knew by making this episode it would piss people off and make them complain on the internet, and apparently it worked. It's the same trick the Simpsons writers have been doing for ages.

Ha! Muttley?!! (Or Mumbly? Muttley, given the aviator's cap, right?)

[Edit: 3 other people were posting about the Muttley thing while I was. Expected that!]

"Seems like I ran out of Waiting Time!" Brain as Snoopy, Stewie playing with He-Man toys, Guy pretending to be a paralyzed doctor, THIS IS GREAT ALREADY! EDIT: Muttley... sorry

Once again, I don't know if one is actually planned (resulting in confusing press releases if it's indeed being made) or if it was an all out April Fool's joke. However, this article suggests that a Family Guy/American Dad crossover episode is a possibity.

That's the point I was making: the problem with Not About My Anus wasn't the episode itself (which I actually haven't seen yet, but am interested in checking out, given how it features the first South Park appearance of a certain Iraqi dictator), but rather the huge letdown it caused, and that's pretty much how a lot of people feel at the moment (especially given how weak the third act was even if there was no mention of a "crossover" in the press release).
