My sisters good friend (when I say good I mean close) Her spouse was sent to jail about 3 years ago. Before him going to jail we all became really close and turns.out his father (rip) and my father were friends back in their country.
So, he was sent arrested and we recieved no word except a b.s. story that he went to Puerto Rico to take care of his Grandmother.
If we had been alerted early we couldve fought hard to get him out and wouldve succeeded. He was sent off and my sister and I decided to write him a letter, his girlfriend was like yeah seal it up and I will mail it, anyway to cut it short she opened it and read it possibly to see if I had written something more than I should've. Maybe flirty or sexual advances so after I learned about that I decided not to write him again to avoid conflict with this lady. Besides I never recieved his address so I couldn't write him.
Well he gets out tomorrow his girlfriend doesn't have a ride and she asked my sister to take her to pick him up. She lives 35 minutes west then we need to drive 40 minutes north to the bus station then 30 minutes north to a half way house and back to her home. My entire family wanted to go as well and at least make him feel welcome with a cake or something nice. My sister informed her and she seemed salty, that she was dissatisfied with the idea. She didn't even want my niece and nephew to go so her 2 kids can go. She ended the conversation with my sister by saying "well play it by ear and ill let you know tomorrow" I understand that its a private moment for them but is it really that private its not like they could run off and do it, she is going to have her 2 kids and he has approximately 2 hours to hop off that bus and get to the halfway house I'm not sure how to feel, I'm annoyed that this friend is playing it out this way. I want to tell my sister to just totally ignore her for.tomorrow but its not fair to him. I know if .he knew what she has done or is.doing he would be angry. Help
