Fall 09 preview time

The Book of Bantorra and The Sacred Blacksmith are the only ones that look like they won't hurt my brain, and the latter I'm a bit apprehensive about, since I didn't care for the studio's previous work much. That and it's on a thin line of falling into the generic archetype story I'm thinking it could be. But if they pull it off, then that would be nice.

Kimi ni Todoke is an amazingly innocent and pure story that doesn't bog down to the typical "lonely alone" syndrome other shows tend to do. If the anime doesn't try to add random comedy like Wallflower, I'm a definite watcher.

Darker Than Black is a definite. I've been excited about this for awhile. Fairy Tale is also definite. I read the first few chapters and enjoyed it, so I'm looking forward to the anime.

Inuyasha is likely, especially with the simulcast. I never did finish the first series, but eh. I would like to know how it enRAB. Tatakau Shisho - The Book of Bantorra looks really interesting, so that's likely, along with The Sacred Blacksmith and Letter Bee.

I may or may not check out Kobato and Kimi no Todoke depending on how much time I have in my life... which is often very little. But I've made a note about them for sometime down the line.

I'm still working on Valkyria Chronicles and 07-Ghost >

I saw the first episode of Kampfer. The episode had pretty good anime animation style. Action and plot pacing were good was well. The characters are likable. The episode also went in directions that most gender bending anime/manga don't dare to go.

The episode literally hits the ground running and the producers of the show seemed to have condensed the first half of the first volume of the Kampfer manga into one episode.

I look forward to the second episode.

ESPECIALLY the no Gainax series. That makes me very sad inside.

At least we're getting Fairy Tail but no Gainax for over two seasons is kind of making me sad.

Wow, I don't care about any of those. My wallet is a very happy object.

Actually, the only new anime series that I have care about in the last 3 years has been Death Note, Code Geass, Sisters of Wellbur (which has yet to be licensed), Baccano!, and D-Gray-Man. Everything else is just rehashing the same tired old stories without taking risks in the animation. When is something unique like Petite Cossette or Big O going to come again?

You want a new story? You want risks in animation? Red Garden says high, buddy. I have to blatantly disagree with what you said, though, but w/e.

Anyway, I guess I'll watch I:TFA, though I was ever a huge fan of the first series. Letter Bee will also get a watch, since I have enjoyed the manga for what of it I've read.

I'll have to look into everything else, although, before I make a decision.
