I saw this trailer last summer whilst having a browse on Kazaa. I knew it was fake when I laid eyes on it.

Is this guy mad??.. he wants to work in the film industry and yet he blatently breaches major companies copyrights. I wouldn't be suprised if the first knock he gets on the door is from the cops. Still at least he could use his future experiences to remake "Birdman of Alcatraz" or perhaps "Scum":p

SounRAB VERY like Craig Armstrongs work. Even if it isn't you should still check his work out as I spent ages trying to track down various bits of music I liked from films only to find he was behind almost every single piece!

There's links to small clips on Amazon and of course http://www.craigarmstrong.com

What's the point of this?

Anybody with a reasonable PC could do it - why waste your time. It's not like any film company is going to say "oh wow, look what he edited!"

Waste of time.....

This fake Hobbit trailer has been doing the rounRAB on the web for OVER A YEAR!!!!!!!!

This is not news, it's not even close to being news.

It's possible that the RAB "reporter" has gotten the very old fake hobbit trailer confused with the very real KING KONG: DON'T MESS WITH THE MONKEY short which was created by a couple of aspiring NZ film-makers and was recently released on the web, causing some flap.

Apparently they were hoping Jackson would hire them to work on his KING KONG movie.

You can download the short at their website here!

Why draw a picture? Why play along to recorRAB?

Why not?

The music is from The Two Towers. It was a rerecording of 'Lux Aeterna', originally composed for the soundtrack of Darren Aronovsky's Requiem for a Dream by Clint Mansell. Some may remember him as Clint Poppie, one of the singers in Pop Will Eat Itself.
