PLEASE read my posts carefully (if you have the ability to) These photos weren't taken by me, they were emailed to me from an Indonesian guy that my HK contact put me onto. I emailed him, he passed on the photos and his current stock list and price. When I received the prices I put it down to these bikes being FAKE / COPIES.

For everyones information, you can easily have a Chinese company manufacture a bike that looks identical for approx $400 each (although it would only have a 250cc engine and be absolute #@$& etc... BUT it is possible.
 
um...those are photos of "1098" style bikes with a written description of the "Desmosedici".

Here's how you tell the difference, Mak....the 1098 has "1098" written on the side faring...the Desmocedici has "Desmosedici RR" written on the side faring (like your original photos).

To answer your new question...your new link is a fraudulent ad with photos of real bikes.

Just did a bit of research and I see I can pick up 2007 1098 here in Australia for $20-25kAU
(12-14kUS) and I can see in the US you can find then for as little as 10kUS to 18k US

How many 2007 1098 ducatis were made and is it possible that there are "unsold bikes" that sat in a warehouse and now being sold to countries such as China, and they are onselling them to whoever they can? A red flag that i've picked up on is that "Sugbay" is based in Beijing and the bank details are based in Guangdong, I know where Guangdong is because I buy floor tiles from there. Guangdong is in the South and Beiging in the North. SUSS.

I was thinking the same, kind of looks like Bend, Oregon. I have been there multiple times.

Western Union and Moneygram..mmmmm. I would say steer clear of this whole thing. I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot cattle, well you know.

I would request a ton of info, pictures, and have some kind of legal recourse of the transaction.

Again, just put it to bed..................Don't even think about it.

You are right, I never have been and I never will be. Look on the bright side though, at least I am not a moron posting fraudulent shit on a Ducati website.
 
Boy you can really tell which ones have hit their head a few times!
