Fairy Tail finally gets anime adaptation

I can see why you say that, especially when comparing them side by side. I guess my thing is that it took so much time for me to get used to the artwork in OP. I'm not much of a fan when it comes to quirky and in the beginning that's all I found OP to be. While Fairy Tail looked pretty decent from the start. (Then again... Going back and looking at chapter 1... I think I might've just fooled myself lol.) I've never really paid much attention to facial expressions until you brought it up. (I do recall the "shocking" expressions in Fairy Tail not being all that great) I agree with you for the most part though. (Do that make sense? I'll try rewording when I get some rest.)

I don't see it on there, but I'll take your word for it! It was leaked early, so they removed it, right?

Well that's rather nice. I've been hoping to give this series a chance, and if I couldn't find a legal way to stream it I probably wasn't going to at all.

Yeah, Fairy Tail and four other titles got removed from the list once they discovered the titles got posted early. Thus far, four of the five titles have been announced, with only Fairy Tail remaining.

Well first episode aired. Going to repost my thoughts from another forum:

Just finished watching it (although I caught it in the middle of the opening, so I may have missed something).

Honestly, I may need to give this episode another watch, however what I saw, I think holRAB potential. Since this is my first exposure to the series, I'm pretty much going into it with an open mind.

Poor Lucy, though. getting lured into a trap and then finding out the "Salamander" was nothing but a fake, with Natsu being the real one. Although, what surprised me was the "summonings"... They seriously have a mind of their own.

However, I was a bit underwelmed by the animation. I was actually expecting better animation overall during the action scenes, yet... it didn't quite delivour. Kind of a let down for the first episode.

Music was well appreciated and I enjoyed it, particularly what I did manage to see of the intro sequence. Ending was pretty hyper active but I enjoyed it.

Also, Lucy narrating the preview... That was for a good laugh. (She couldn't decide on the best way to introduce herself.)

I only have a problem with the skin tones. Why is everyone so pale? They're outside almost all the time.

Fairy Tail might not be the most well written series, but Mashima has an eye for fight choreography. Satelight and A1 did Birdy the Mighty Decode, and that was fantastic. I'm really looking forward to this.

NATSU SHALL PIERCE THE HEAVENS WITH THE POWER OF HIS DRILL....(oh wait, same voice actor different show. My bad. )

First of all. Loved the opening. It was very soft for a shounen manga adaptation but that wasn't a bad thing at all.

Okay so here it is. It was not too bad at all. I was already going into it biased because I still have horrible, horrible memories of Rave Master's hideous adaptation but it did do it's job well. For bringing out the first chapter, it was very good. Though some of the animation was a bit stiff at parts and for some reason, I never thought that kind of gruff voice would work that well with Natsu. Note that it's not a bad voice just a bit unexpected.

Anyway, glad it's finally out.

Since I was unable to establish a Paypal account due to not knowing my Credit Union's Institution # and the fact that the banks are closed until after Canadian Thanksgiving, I was unable to watch the first episode.

So, all I could do was watch the opening monologue and most of the opening from the 2:00 preview on Crunchyroll.

This seriously sucks as I want to watch the episode just as much as everyone else.

You sir, are right!

Methinks it may be due to the timeslot for the show. However, Lucy's blouse does have a collar zipper so all may not be lost.

As for the comment about everyone being pale, I'm not sure if I want to jump to that conclusion until I see the characters animated. Their skin tone can become slightly darker when the show begins.

So far so good. I'm liking the way this is turning out. Hopefully the animation will be better than other shonen series. ("coughs" very skeptical right now.) As I've stated in the manga thread, hopefully the fanservice is turned down a notch.

I hope they change as little as possible from the manga, in fact, nothing at all, too bad that's just impossible these days.

EDIT: ok, maybe they can change one thing, they could make it so that you actually care about the characters, cause the manga kind of fails at that, hard, if you know what i mean.
