I am worried about my brother. He hardly gets off the chair for fear of falling. He has been to a heart Dr. and a few other specialists and they can't find the reason. We have a shortage of Drs. here so he doesn't have a family Dr. He is diabetic and he usually runs aroud 6. He gets monitored at the hospital once a month. Is there some suggestions that the site can recommend to help him. I appreciate any help available. Thanks, Di

Hi well I would run down to the pharmacy and get a blood sugar machine. Sometimes doctors have waiting lists if there is a shortage. I am perplexed about the statement "He is diabetic and he usually runs aroud 6."

What I mean is he has his tests at home and his sugar according to his blood sugar machine is at # 6 . That according to the hospital is a good # for him as he was alot higher when he was diagnosed as a diabetic. Are your #s different in the States. This is by Canadian standarRAB. Hope this makes sense. Thanks, Di

Hi now I understand that there is a possibility that there is a different type of machine that measures blood sugar differently than we usually measure over here. I am glad I asked. In my opinion in order for a person to know whether or not the sugar is good he would have to read the pamphlet that came with the machine to see what the normal levels aught to be.

I know by our standarRAB that his sugar is ok. I would like to know if there was another cause to this ailment. Something the Specialist can look into. Thanks again Di
