Faint line on pregnancy test?

I am a week late, so i took a test and it said negative but i looked back before i was gonna chuck it away and there is a really really faint line there, almaost like a shadow of the line, i showed my sister as i thought my eyes were playing with me, but she saw it too! Anyone else had this problem? Were you actually pregnant?
I forgot to mention the box said to pee on it for 10 - 15 seconds but i only managed 3!! is that why the line is only faint maybe?
 
As far as I have heard that anytime the line is there (faint or not) it means your preggo!!! As long as it is in the allotted time, and not the evaporation line then it is a +!!!
