First, welcome to the board. I'm sorry you are having so much pain after your fusion. A few questions, if I may: how long ago was your surgery? At what levels were you operated on? Is the burning pain something that has started up since the surgery?

What things have you done to deal with this pain? Have you discussed this with your surgeon? If so, what is he/she telling you? Do you have a pain management doctor that is managing your medications?

Sorry for all the questions, but if you can provide a bit more detail, more people will be able to offer suggestions.

I don't know how long ago your surgery was but you have my sincere sympathy. I had a fusion with complications several years ago and was in severe pain bedridden 3 months after surgery. Eventually things did improve but it took a full year before the severe back spasm released. Hopefully things do get better for you.

I am so sorry you are in such pain! Gentle hugs..... What options has your surgeon given you? Can he perhaps suggest a pain clinic? Is there an option for a second surgery repair? I know severe pain can make you despair, but there are options out there. I would ask for some pain med relief to get you through until you can get seen in a pain clinic or some other option becomes available. Be sure to mention that your quality of life is severely impaired as in my experience this seems key to doctors in describing the severity of what is going on. I am sending up a prayer of relief for you and that you get some workable options quickly!
