I'm an installer equipping a court ordered Breathalyzer for a 2006 Cadillac STS. The car wires we hook it up to battery, ignition, and starter, are typically in a harness in the steering/dash area.
These new Cadillacs have those same three wires in the fusebox, and they all worked.
I cut the starter wire, then seated it with three inches of wire to see if the starter wire would work with non-factory wiring connected, and it did.
So I took that temporary bridge out, put in our interlock device and connected everything. Power and ignition work BEAUTIFULLY. But when we turn the keys we get nothing.
We asked install to come back tomorrow, splice her starter back together, and get nothing. Her stereo, interior, headlights all work OK. But the engine or starter don't click to start motor.
I'm looking at these fuses, NONE of which look blown. Any ideas?
