I've dealt with Mort close up and personal. In a particularly painful way and on more than one occasion. It's still something which comes back to me in the still of the night.

However something like that, of a violent and meaningless nature must fundamentally change one's life.

Offered counseling? No. There was no way for anyone to offer me counseling.
