Facebook Photo Plug-in - not working?

I have been trying to upload photos to my facebook profile and it keeps saying you need to install the plug-in. Ok thats fine but when i try to do so it doesnt work! It saves fine to my computer but when i click on it to open it, it says format not known and wont open.

Any ideas?

All my Java etc are all up to date.
