Facebook notifications on blackberry app, but not online?

I made my facebook account through the facebook application on my blackberry. I always get notifications via my app, but never when I'm online on the computer. The only notifications I get are when someone likes my status, or when someone posts something on my wall. But never any comments and things like that. Is there a way to change this? Thanks
