Facebook for Android 1.5.1 Push Notification on HTC Incredible?

I am using Facebook for Android 1.5.1 on a HTC Incredible (which has been updated to Android 2.2) which is suppose to have push notifications.. I have yet to see anything. The only times I get any type of notification is on the main screen for the Facebook for Android app -- I see a red circle with a number letting me know someone replied, ect ect ect.

How does one set-up push notifications?

SCREENSHOTS IF POSSIBLE PLEASE!
