Facebook chat issues... help me please?

I can get online on Facebook chat and I see all my friends list online and if i say hi they will see me online, otherwise noone sees me online... Its been many days and I dont know what to do... does anyone know how to fix it? Thanks! PS: I already made sure I have the green thing beside the chat tab. Im not on the "Go offline" thing... so thats why i dont know what to do...
