Just watching this film as havent watched it i years and is it just me or is John Travolta's (soz cant spell it) acting in this terrible?

When he takes on the part of Caster Troy pretending to be the Shaun Archer its terrible. He cannot play that cool, smooth bad guy that Nicolas Cage played at the beginning of the film.

Sorry a bit pointless but just something I wanted to get off my chest.

Travolta is terrible in it. At the beginning when hes the good guy he's quite good at the stressed outg cop but when he takes on the other role he jjust dont pull it off.

But in the film Swordfish he is very very good in the bad guy role.

Cage as the bad guy was much better than Travolta as the bad guy. Cage also pulled off the good guy role well. Travolta was OK but seeing as he was meant to be Cage's character for most of the movie he just wasn't evil enough.

The action sequences were really good and overall the film is among Cage's best action movies along with Con air and The Rock

Travolta played a bad guy in Pulp Fiction. He was brilliant in that.
Can't compare the two really.

Love the sepia bit at the start of the film. It was kinda downhill after that!

I love this film! I can watch it again and again and not get bored with it.

A girl I lived with last year just could not grasp the whole swap thing. I tried to explain it a million times (exaggeration, I know) but she just couldn't understand what had happened :).

When Travolta is Archer he's quite angry and got quite a few issues.

When Cage is Troy he is cool and evil.

When Travolta is Troy he is evil but not as cool.

When Cage is Archer he is all fuddy duddy and overly nice.

I don't think it is a case of bad acting but different personas being acted out.

The same can be said for many body swap movies, Vice Versa for example, Fred Savage as a kid is quite confident and independent but when Reinhold becomes the kid he is far more juvenile and does a fair bit of crying.

If you like John Woo, you should see A Better Tomorrow and Hard Boild, those are my favourite two Woo movies.

This movie is awesome, i have the dvd. i think all the acting is great in the movie. Cage and Travolta work great together and there both fantastic actors :D
