Fab films not on DVD.

How about "Jumpin' Jack Flash"? That is one of Whoopi' best movies ever.

Soap season1 is being released in the USA in September, but how about the other 3 seasons? I would have to buy that one.

Outrageous Fortune with Shelly Long, and Bette Midler is another that would be good for a DVD release.

I noticed that Girls On Top with Tracey Ulman & Ruby Wax et al is on R1 so will get round to buying that.

As for Married With Children, selected episodes are avaiilable on 2 R1 DVRAB.

I noticed Duel mentioned earlier in this thread. I've got an e-mail just sent to me by Play.com which has said that Universal have pulled the title due out August 12. So no duel for now it seems! Arse!

Dear ToneXIR,

Thanks very much for mentioning this, as it is one of my favourite films.

I presume you can't like me, wait for it to come out.

Best wishes

Jennings

Correct date (and cover art) for Married... Season 1
7/30/2003

A retail source (that wishes to remain anonymous) who saw our release listing (posted yesterday) for Married... with Children - The Complete 1st Season was kind enough to send me some additional information:

A corrected street date of October 28th.
A Canadian list price of CAN$41.95
The cover art you see posted below

Please take it with a small grain of salt, since I have not found any official information about this from Columbia themselves...all information comes from this source (whom I've found to be 100% reliable in the past) and from DVDPlanet.com's pre-order listing. Most of the studio-types are in Las Vegas this week for the VSDA convention, where more details about this may or may not be announced. TVShowsOnDVD.com owner Gord Lacey is there at the show, trying to dig up the news.

Stay tuned; we'll have more for you just as soon as possible. For now, enjoy that cover art (may not be final):

Most new films seem to released on DVD soon after they are screened at the cinema, whilst we are still waiting for some of the classics from years ago.

I suppose it all comes round to supply and demand.

Hopefully our favourites will come along in due course, especially when VHS is eventually phased out.

Soldier Blue, a cracking western.

Available on DVD in Germany, but from what I can see the dialogue is in German. I you know different however.........;)

Weird Science - I've got a crappy VHS version which I taped from the TV years ago, dying to watch it on DVD wish they would release it. Does anyone know if they will?

Soldier Blue,

A bit violent for my taste but still very good from what I remember seeing it at the cinema.

I see you can get a cheap VHS for

Restless Natives!! This deserves to be released on DVD for it's a cult classic Scottish movie with a soundtrack probably more famous than the film, by Big Country!!
