F480 Orange to -> Latest Firmware

Hey everyone

I'm really sorry if this has been answered already!
I'm on Orange in the UK and have a Samsung F480, if I flash it to a newer firmware (latest), will it be possible to keep the following:

- Startup Screen (The swirly orange logo thing lol)

I'm wondering if there is any new widgets as well and what they would be?

yes, in order to do that when flashing use rc2 file from orange firmware instead the one form the new soft.. or..


flash it with all four new and then just flash single rc2 form any orange firmware

when it comes to the widgets, look at the topic with flashing f480 all written there

Sorry to be a pain
Another thing before I flash it.
I'm going to use the firmware F480XXHJ4

will I still be able to:

- Play / Download Games
- Use my Orange Sim (Phone locked to Orange anyway)
- T9 with the space button on the left?

and is there any problems with this firmware or is it ok?

I'm not a n00b at flashing phones (done my old U600 because Orange screwed it up), but its just confusing with the F480 because every firmware is different in some way or other, instead of just improving.

flashing use 4 files only

check NO boot NO fulflash..
as far as firmware options look into the topic with flashing f480 lots of firmware described/compared there

Or do I need to change anything?

I haven't selected rc2 as you have said
 
you HAVE TO use rc2 when changing firmware! and YOU ARE

if you want to leave specific starting animation use it or upload later.. so this time you have to add this as well let me expain

firmware A - we want only animation from that, firmware B we want everything else

so to flash with shis mix either:

modem B
rc1 B
rc2 A
ffs B

when flashing or:

modem B
rc1 B
rc2 B
ffs B

and after that you flash ONLY with rc2 from A

Hey, i flashed it as it was in the picture.
The start up screen has changed but it's not really a problem, there's always chance to re-flash and add the Orange start-up screen again?

Anyway, it works great, LOADS OF WIDGETS on this one! which will be very helpful

if you want to just flash it only with rc2 file - this is the start screen only
