F480 Java install without wap. Tutorial & software

according to vodaphone I don't know, but according to this forum:

the codes for that firmware are:

admin menu: *#3695147*#
master key: *#3971258*#

please say if it worked
 
I was going to flash but again i bought it 2 days ago and i thought i had the new one. Is there a way to see what firmware i have right now? And can you give me the link to how to flash??? Thanks again for helping a greek guy out!!!
 
Can any1 answer my question, there's a port i click and when i go to file to connect it, it says warning! whats the problem?
 
When I am in the file explorer under the Port drop down box it only has COM9.
How do I get it to have COMxx?
 
i just tried it and eveything was successful but afetr i have updated it and i go to the games menu there is no game over there, where do i go to play the just insatlled game
 
Well, I'd tried a couple of times...but says unable to delete those away...if there's ways to do it, please let us know...thanks for ur efforts...

But I am stuck on 4, I don't seem to have "TkFileExplorer_2.2.exe".

edit: Dw I accidentally without noticing deleted it after I extracted :$ lmao
 
I downloaded TKFILEEXPLORER and did everything you said, I then
Go to Settings - COM.Scroll down Port window: You should get just one COMxx option. Choose it and press OK.at this point I am lost, because when I scroll down the Port window it is empty. What do I do?

Ok, you have successfully completed all the steps but you have to put the JAR AND the JAD files together in the created folder. Samsung requires the JAR and the JAD file.
 
Did you select PC Studio from the phone when you connected it to your PC via the cable? Mine won't work unless that option has been selected. Also, try using a different usb slot.
 
Hey,
I cannot connect with any File-Manager to my F480. I just cannot choose a port and the driver seems to be not installed correctly. But i tried it several times, de- and reinstalled, just everything.
Has anyone an idea how to solve this problem?

Unbelievably, I cant get the fricking thing to recognise my phone. I install the driver, attach the phone (which mode do I need to be in? PC suite? Media etc...) and no message appears. Then I open the TKFileExplorer and the COM option is blank.

This question has probably been asked previously so excuse my idiocy - and thanks in advance for any help.
 
COMxx means COM followed by whichever number is shown as the port is sometimes random. There is no 'COMxx'.

COM9 must be where your phone is located
 
I just downloaded all that i need to get some games but why is it that when i try to connect it to TkFileExplorer there's always a warning: Unable to open the specified port... what should i do??? I already try to restart my pc and cp..
 
I have the F488 that is the same as the F480 but it is the edition for Korea, Hong Kong and other countries in Asia.
