F-22 debate. For the price of bailing out GE(who still failed)?

GM got 33.3 or so billion

and F-22 cost 140 million

GM cost us 237 F-22's

What is better? Investing in a failing company? Or investing in our defence?

=D hahaha my generation sucks!

I think we need to fix the F-22 problems and get more of them. We need a more superior fighter for homeland defense than the F-35 since other countries have F-35 fighters. We have no business bailing out GM.

What is better? Preventing millions more Americans from getting laid off? Or investing in an outdated fighter jet that even the Secretary of Defense doesn't want?

The main reason why the government doesn't want to pay for those F-22's is because they'd rather spend that money on the newer F-35's.

Edit: I did do my research. The F-35's are newer and more versatile than the F-22's.

I would be in favor of reducing the order in the short term or moving out the delivery dates so we don't have to pay it as soon. If worse comes to worse though look back at the B-1 bomber. Carter killed the program but Reagan brought it back and it was better then the first go round.

EDIT: IVAN The f-22 is a bigger, badder version of the f-35 and it fill a different role from the f-35. Do your research.
