Eyeshadow and eyeliner......deceiving? please answer?

I have beautiful eyes. Been told that my whole life. I like to wear black eye shadow with black eyeliner and black mascara. I dont over do it, and yes, I apply it correctly. The whole point of the makeup is to make eyes look bigger and bring them out. When I wear the makeup, apparently my eyes look too big and people think I've been "up to something" such as drugs or have been drinking. I've been accused of that without makeup before!! I dont know what to do about it and I'm sick of it. I dont do anything bad except have a drink on occasion! Why is this happening to me??

well it could be either that you have eyes that are wide in diameter/area naturally, or the fact that you use eye makeup to bring your eyes out has put an image into peoples minds. I have rather normal eyes and i use black eyeliner. Or (this is most likely the best choice) its a combination of you having huge eyes and the image stuck in their heads.
