For the past 2 weeks my eyeliRAB have been swelling on and off. I also have been getting bright red patches all around my eyes. At times it burned SO bad, other times they itch like crazy. My face/neck have also been incredibly itchy. My neck has a big red dry rash on it too. On top of this, my ears have been incredibly itchy and sometimes they get really hot and red. They're also dry and flaky on the back of them.

I have searched up and down what the heck these things could be. It gets worse some times, better other times. I take benedryl and that hasn't helped. I have tried to think of ANYTHING that could be giving me a reaction and there is nothing. My diet is the same, I use the same face products I've always used...everything is the same. I even stopped using a certain face cream that was relatively new, for 2 days. Nothing has helped. I went to a doctor who was absolutely no help to me.

I have one swollen lymph node gland as well. I don't understand why my neck/ears/face are SO itchy with red rashes on them that sort of come and go. It's only been happening for about 2 weeks. The first night my eyeliRAB swelled up I was ready to go the emergency room because I was terrified. It's weird that these things are only occurring on my face/neck and not at all on my body.

From my descriptions, everyone keeps telling me it sounRAB like an allergy. Does this sound like an allergy or does it sound like an illness?

It does sound like an allergy. What about soap? Anything new there? Hair products?

And it could be something you've just become allergic to. I've taken Aleve since before it was OTC and it was prescription only. Probably close to 25 years or more. NEver had any problems. Several years back I started getting welts on my face every few months. Everyone thought it was some random food that I rarely ate. Earlier this year it started happening about once a week. Quess what! It's the Aleve! Who'd have thought that????

Goodness, if you can become allergic to something you've been using for years then I'm in trouble. That means I could be allergic to a certain food I've always eaten, or a product I've always used.

Sometimes (mostly at night) my skin gets SO itchy it's unbearable! My ears and around my eyes in particular. I used to think it was a face cream I used, but how would that affect my ears? lol. My ears as of right now are all dry and itchy. I just don't get why allergy medications haven't taken this away. My eyelid swelling HAS decreased, but now my face is dry and flaking more. I don't even leave the house because my skin looks so bad. :dizzy:
