Ok, here's me hoping someone knows the answer to my longterm problem.
For some time already I have a problem with my left eye, it gets dry more often than my right eye and I have to blink more often with my left eye because of that. I went to see a specialist and he thought it was some kind of bacteria. The tests returned and it showed nothing whatsoever, however he did say that the surface of both of my eyes looks a bit different than it should be. I have no problems with my sight and I tested that too, apparently I see very well. He gave me some drops in case it's an infection of some sort. The drops did help a bit, but after taking drops for a month I know the problem extends beyond. There are other factors to include which make me panick all the more. I have a tik, a very annoying one. From time to time I simply look at the top left side of my field of vision. In other words, from time to time I move my eye to the top left corner as if I was looking at something above me slightly to the left. It's voluntarily, at least I think it is, though I find it harder day by day to resists giving in to a desire I have to look up-left. The tik wouldn't be a problem if it hasn't made my face muscles hurt a bit. I have no idea if the two are related but at times the muscles of my face start to contract and hurt if I keep giving in to my tik. I neither have an idea if the two are related to my left eye problem, but I think they are as the tik involves only the left eye. Of course, I move both of my eyes to look up and left, it's just that only my left eye has a desire to do so. It's true that I spent most of my day behind a pc, my work is based on a pc and when I don't work I read and write on a pc. I've noticed that the tik and face muscles contracting occur much less of I spend my day away from my pc, and the occurance is lessened by the day if the days are spent away from the pc. However, the tik never really goes away, and the problem with my left eye is always there no matter if i'm behind a pc or not. Just the other day I spent the day outside in the country, I swam in a really cold river. For the rest of the day my left eye was dry and burned like hell, I almost had to keep it closed all the time. Now I know that I should spend less time behind the pc and wear protective glasses when I do, I'm just wondering if there's something more to it. The specialist told me that if the drops don't cure my left eye problem we'd do a test for alergies, I never went however as I find the idea of my eye being allergic simply rediculous. I'm wondering...panicking, if both the dry and burning left eye, the tik and the contracting of the face muscles might suggest a brain tumor...or something. I'm really scared and hoping it's nothing at all.
I'm sorry for the long text, I hope someone find the time to read it and help me anyway he or she can. Thank you very much in advance.
