I've been to the eye doctor twice in the past year and I still don't feel like I have a valid answer to what's really happening.
Basically, my eyes are strained while reading (computer and in books) and playing video games. Just recently it also happens while watching TV and occasionally other random places. A year ago when my eyes only hurt while reading my eye doctor gave me reading glasses. It sort of fixed my problem.
A few months later they began to get strained playing video games. I am not talking about staring at a screen for hours. They start to strain within a minute. I gone back a few months later and his reasons were that I was staring at the screen too long and that it happens. I know that is not the problem. He then changed my reading glasses lenses to the point where they don't work as well for reading and gave me eye drops. I am not sure if the drops are supposed to work or not because I still can not play games and now they are getting strained watching TV or of course sitting in front a monitor. I do have to get some more drops, but is that really the problem?
After all, but reading glasses don't work as well as I feel they should and I am not sure if the drops are fixing it completely either. Could dry eyes really be the problem or do I need glasses for more than just reading?
