Eye make up. How I

do it? I'm interested in achieving the look where your make-up is very light near the nose and dark at the outer part of your eye.

PS I'm 30. That's not too old, is it?
Unfortunately, none of my friends are make-up gurus, but I like to dress up at night, etc.
 
no! youre never too old to look fab! so... eye make up. well you can start with eye liner, you can actually get some which have black on one side and white on the other- its really handy. so you start to apply the black on the outer side of the eye, maybe top more heavier than the bottom, and possibly add a little flick or something to make it look like you have those upwards eyes which are supposudley sexy, and you do this most of the eye of the top bit and only a little, just under half on the bottom bit. then you take the white and you put it on from where you stopped on both parts and really concentrate it on the corner (iner) of the eye. For the lid, you want it to be more dramatic, so you get a dark colour and you apply around where you have the liner which is dark and slowly blend it to be lighter as you go toward the iner part and you really want that inner corner to be light becuase it opens up the eyes. you might want to do a really light bit on the bottom as well, but only just a bit and not too much. you pretty much now just want to go up to the brow bone going lighter and lighter from the lid until you can tell where it actually ends because it is blended to your skin. and ofcourse, mascara- dont forget. and with this you can really explore different colours by doing this (including eye liner).
 
Definitely not too old! It's pretty simple, if I know what you're thinking of: Apply light eyeshadow (beige, gold, even white) to the inner eyelid. This actually helps your eyes look larger. Apply dark eyeshadow (black, any dark color, really) in the crease of the eyelid and the outer half. Then apply a bit of medium shade (any color) to the middle of the eyelid and following the lashline. Lastly, blend well with a brush.
 
30 isn't even close to being old! I suggest you experiment with this look in different colors. Almay sells awesome kits with the same color in 3 different shades, you'll need this to achieve the fading look. I suggest using your finger to apply each of the shades in a section across your eye, start with the lightest first and work your way out, then use a brush to blend the three colors and shape them to your eye. I do not recommend applying the three colors all the way up to your eyebrow, rather invest in a highlighter powder (it's a really light yellowish silvery powder to apply at the top-it will pull the look together nicely!)
