I live in the pacific northwest, there is a bright star that appears too close to be a planet in the southern sky. It appears to be closer than the moon. I have watched it for months now and sometimes it gets brighter and dimmer. Is this a geosynchronous orbit satellite?
No, i guess i did not explain myself. It is not Venus. It is too close / it has to be something else. Does Venus turn off and on? I do not think so.
I promise sometimes it is not there.
Please go look again.
