Extract and Save Photo to PC

I am using an android touch...I cannot figure out how to extract a photo from a text message and then save it to my computer. I cannot even extract it and resend it to an email account. Any ideas?

Long press outside the image and the options will pop up

Then connect your phone to your computer via its USB lead. On the phone bring down the notification bar, click the USB entry, select Mount, then your SD card will appear as a drive in Windows.
