extra curricular activities for being a lawyer?

I want to become a lawyer (preferably by doing a history degree and then a law conversion course) and I wondering what extra curricular activities I should be doing, apart from work experience? I want to make sure I choose the right ones.

Speech and debate is practically pre-req. It also helps you build so many important skills annnnd you'll get really smart from all the research... never lose an argument with a non debate kid again!!! Also if you're school has it, mock trials would be good.
