I lost my scholarship from low grades, I can petition to get it back if it was due to extenuating circumstances.
This was my first college semester, my high school grades back me up that I was a good student 3.48 gpa. My sister was diagnosed with a brain tumor, and she had to have brain surgery, and I had to go with my mom because she didn't have anyone else because my dad died just about a year ago of disease. She is a single mom and I needed to be there to take care of her because my sister is still just a kid. And anyway, I had to miss some class and I couldn't focus for weeks not knowing if she was going to die or if she had cancer. After her surgery they found that it wasn't a tumor, but they didn't know what it was, and we are still not sure what it is, they sent it to john hopkins research and stuff.
Anyway, do you think this will classify as an extenuating circumstance? Also, do you think I'll get my scholarship back?
