Expressvu CI subscriber - Missing Channels?

Hello,

I have the 9200 receiver, and subscribe center ice package. Tomorrow night the Canucks/Wild game is on SNHD2 Channel 852, and says "CI subscribers see the game on NHLH1 (ch.866)"

That's great and all, but, I don't get channel 866. I see 867, 868, and 869, NHLH2-NHLH4.

Does anyone else have this issue, or know of a resolution?

I also live in Calgary and have a 9200 and I have Channel 866. Seems weird to me. I would reset your receiver by holding the power button on the front panel for 10 seconds.
 
i called tech support.

i told the guy my issue, and he told me "it wouldn't show up anyways, since nothing is scheduled on it."

i told him he was wrong, pointed out that one of the other 3 channels didn't have anything scheduled on it, and was still there... says "nyr vs pit - sat @ 730ET"

then he kept giving me the run around "call back tomorrow at 8pm if the channel doesn't show up" etc etc, and i finally asked him "can you put me through to someone... ANYONE... who knows what they're talking about?"

he had me on the phone, for probably 10-15 minutes, put me on hold maybe 5-6 times, and really answered my question, he gave me excuses, and then when i asked to talk to someone else, he told me his supervisor wouldn't have anything else to tell me, and would be the same result.

his supervisor actually was more friendly, easier to understand, and did try some things to fix my system... or at least, determine if the problem was on my end or not....

he then told me he was going to send in a work order request for my account, and that channel 866 should "show up in 15 minutes to 2 hours." and then when i asked for a work ticket, he told me they didnt generate them, and then he told me i could call back and it would be associated with my account.

needless to say, 3 hours later, and nothing's fixed. call back time?

i think i'm going to try to reset the system again (as per your suggestion), and see if they did anything first.

If you "hide locked channels" make sure it isn't in the locked channel list.

Also, make sure you are looking at "All Channels" and not a Favourites list.
 
i live alone... don't have kids.. or parents... so no locked channels... and i toggled between all chan and all sub....

thanks for the suggestion tho.
 
my god this company is ridiculous.

i just called back this morning, after being told lastnight, that i needed to call back and talk to another level of tech support, who was only there 8-5 EST.

so i called back, talked to a tech support, who when i asked to talk to the level 2 support, told me he was level 2 ... then i ask him "if you're level 2 howcome you're answering phonecalls right away" (he had no answer).

so finally i get to talk to a supervisor, who told me that the channel will not be listed in the guide until 2-3 hours before game time. then i told him "i have had other people lastnight tell me the channel is in the guide. i have NEVER seen the channel in the guide, ever. and even if it did show up, i can't very well set a manual timer now to record that channel, as i won't be home."

he gave me the very very very rehearsed "i am extremely sorry about your sitatuation. is there any other way i can offer you excellent customer service today sir?"

....and this doesn't even compare to the issues with billing i am having ("where's my credits i was promised?)
