Explorer headlights flash in daylight.?

I went to a Ford dealer about this issue,being ford pros,they know whats wrong,one of 2 or 3 things.Can someone save me $160 and tell me what could be wrong with headlights flashing fast with light switch off during the day?Lights come on with the engine running,wish that didnt happen either,thanks

Does it have automatic sensing headlights? If it does and u have it on AUTO, than there is something wrong with the light sensor.
