Explain how the wind affects the rate of transpiration in a typical terrestrial plant?

These are my notes on it:
Pockets of air saturated with water vapour tend to form near stomata in still air, which reduce the rate of transpiration. Wind blows the saturated air away and so increases the rate of transpiration (i.e. wind reduces the external water vapour concentration – so gradient increases and water moves out).

I don't really understand it. Can someone explain it to me, please? Thanks!!
