explain how environmental decisions can affect resources and biodiversity?

I decided to clear-cut all the trees in Washington to make lumber for houses and wood pulp for newspapers.

Resources: There are no more trees in Washington. So next time I'm looking for trees, I'll have to look elsewhere.

Biodiversity: All the trees are gone (there were lots of species). So are all the bushes that lived in forests. So are birds, insects, mammals... basically everything that depended on having forests is pretty much gone.
