Expand your horizon

I haven't heard Meat Puppets myself, but from what I'm reading, the only album that they did that was really hardcore was their debut. Of course, this is Wikipedia. What's Meat Puppets II sound like?

I have a great one for relaxing symphony music, though it's almost like arabient symphonic music at times, even though it does build to a climax of sorts. The song is titled Fordlandia from Johann Johannsson's most recent album, Fordlandia. You can hear it at his myspace. The other songs are a bit different, but Fordlandia just blew me completely away. Check it out...

Lets see here...
I have ZERO death metal albums, and I think thats because I've been looking in the wrong places.
The only jazz album I own is Cosmos by Sun Ra, and it's not even on a format that I can listen to (its vinyl, and I lack a turntable).
The Only Post-rock Album I own is Lift your skinny fists... by GY!BL, and I love it, so I want to look more into that.
The only Post-Hardcore album I own is Relationship of Command by ATD-I, which is now one of my favorite albums.
Some accessible routes for these genres would be greatly appreciated. :)

AK1200 - Fully Automatic is pretty essential I think

Aphrodite - Aphrodite is amazing if you like more 'jump-up / funky style'

Dieselboy - Dungeon Masters Guide is his best imo. Really dark and heavy type stuff.

Calyx - Shelflife is great

also Marcus Intalex's mix on Fabriclive .35 has been one of my favorites for a really long time. Very chill, and just packed with good songs all the way through.
