Exotic Cellular

I bought a Moto L6 from Exotic Cellular. We put in the sim card for Cingular and it appeared to work great. But in certain areas I simply cannot get a signal, as I could with the cheap Nokia I used to have.

I called Exotic Cellular and they explained that their phones are all Asian. If you buy a tri-band, then there is only one Cingular frequency available, and Cingular uses two frequencies.

Their rep said you have to buy a quad-band to make sure you have both frequencies.

All this is apparently explained on their website if you take the time to look around.

No refund, of course, based on their policy.

The L2 & L6 are Tri-band phones intended for Asia / Europe / S. America / S Africa. They only have one N American Freq which is the 1900. And unfortunately with cingular, u need to have a phone that runs both 850 & 1900 to be problem free. The SLVR L7 is a quad band phone and thats the one u need.
I have a tri band phone from asia and i also have problems here and there with coverage.

I just wanted to know if there were any bad issues with them, like u payed them and they took forever to ship it too u. or they sent u the wrong phone and refuse exchange or refund, or sent u a USED phone instead of a NEW phone....
This is a X-mas gift and i dont wana deal with those above issue's especially when its about ~6 weeks way....
