Exorcist: The Beginning

Yep it true, Hollywood it making a prequel (it looks like) to arguably the scariest film ever made. I, personally am gonna watch this but we will have to wait a while as the sheduled UK release date is January 2nd 2004. Hopefully it will not be as awful as the sequel.

So what are your thoughts on this prequel to this classic?

I first saw the original when they re-released it for Halloween 1998 - all the people in the row in front were dressed up as devils and witches and stuff LOL.

I don't think it is a scary film. In fact some parts such as the head turning and foul language are quite comical today, although in 1973 they would have been quite shocking I guess..

I recommend the DVD as it has some great extras on it.

Anyway about this new film......

Like most sequels (or in this case prequel) it will probably be average at best, especially after so many years and will just spoil the name and memory of the original.

But... :) I will reserve judgement!
