Exercise tips, please.?

Hey, I'm a 17 year old male who's overweight.. and since it's Winter Break I thought to myself that I should take advantage of the time I have and get into shape.

But the problem is.. because it's winter I can't go outside, so I've decided to exercise in my basement (There's a ton of room there)

Could anyone give me some ways of exercising? All I know is the basic sit-ups and push-ups, but I'd like to know a lot more. I don't have any type of exercising equipment which is why I'm relying on self-techniques.. but I don't know many of those at all.
