so i got COD3 for the wii for xmas, no reciept, and I want to exchange it somewhere for zelda. any ideas? I dont know if gamestop will exchange games with no receipt, its brand new, still shrink wrapped. where is my best bet?

What if it's not wrapped still? I have monster 4x4 the case has a barcode but I don't have the box that it came in because it came with the wheel. Would they let me exchange just the game?

depends how stupid the employee is...but i'm going to doubt it

when i returned an mp3 player last year, they had some dude from the electronics department come over and make sure that everything in the box matched up with the contents printed on the side of the box. they were hassling me because i broke the seal on the box. i kept telling them, it's defective - it would only turn on half of the time and sometimes the songs wouldn't even be there, i just want a refund. 10 minutes later i got a refund

it was a mobiblu cube by the way, what a piece of shit

i called up ebgames and they said they wont do it. called up walmart and the lady said id have to talk to a manger cause somethings they dont let you do it. gonna try costco

WalMart WILL refund without a receipt, usually for cash, unless you had... I think it is more than 3 no receipt refunds in 6 months. Even if it's a gift card, it would be hard to spend $50 at WalMart.

edit: this is for the game still sealed. Saint, you're probably out of luck. :P

Oh well, my godson and his brother would probably enjoy Monster 4x4 more than GT Pro series or any other games I have so I'll keep it.

I've never had any problems returning anything at walmart. There have been times where I've traded in used games at FYE and they didn't have the game I wanted, so I would just get a game of equal value that is close to the same title, for example I wanted NHL 2K7 for the 360, FYE was out of stock. I used my credit to buy NHL 2007 for the 360, took the pricetag off and went to walmart to exchange it for 2K7.

i went to walmart today and I asked the guy in the electronics dept and he said that I couldnt return it. Oh well, I ended up selling it on craigslist for $50

If it's unopened don't go to electronics department. Go to the customer service/exchange desk and they'll take it back. They're retards. Don't give them a story either. Just be like I want to exchange this.

So, basically, they are saying that anything that anyone got from WalMart as a gift can't be returned without a receipt? Bullshit.

The fact that it is a game is a moot point since it had never been opened. You should go back to the store and burn it to the ground.
