So I've been using Guitar Pro 5 for a long time, but recently when i switched sound cards i noticed that it tends to lag...a LOT. If you don't know already, GP5 is a MIDI-based notation program.
This also occurs when listening back to straight MIDI Audio Files. The 'lag' is basically the songs not staying on beat, constantly shifting from quick tempo to slow tempo, and not sounding like much of a song.
My audio card is the Realtek HD Audio Card. However, i notice in my Soundcard options that for 'Midi Playback', my only option is the standard Microsoft Synth Playback. (or whatever the term is)
Is there a way to maybe enable MIDI for my Realtek?
