I seem to have had a severe drop in fuel mileage. I have replaced the fuel filter, plugs and wires, and the air filter is fairly new. I was getting between 26 and 28 mpg, and have now dropped to 18 and 22 mpg. This truck is equipped with a 4 cylinder and a 5 spd trannsmission. I am a professional driver. I have maintained this pickup for 9 years now. Truck has 132000+ miles on it with factory brakes still on the truck. I take very good care of this truck, watch fuel mileage on every tank, and i am very mechanically inclined. Fuel mileage issue is really bugging me. New properly inflated tires.

May be something in the air pollution control system like the Oxygen sensor. Really need a mechanic with a scanner to check various inputs and recommend a repair. A scan only should cost about $30, then you may be able to repair yourself. If a AAA member they so scans for members, but do not repair at certain locations only.
