Apologies if this has been mentioned before, tried searching but couldn't find anything.
Anyway, does anyone feel that the content warnins/advice issued with films these days is becoming excessive? On the trailer for 'The Day After Tomorrow' it says 'contains scenes of mild peril'. HELLO? IT'S A DISASTER MOVIE! Given that most people will try to find out something about the subject matter of a film before deciding to go to the cinema and see it I think it's reasonable to assume that you are going to see scenes of peril in a disaster movie!
Other examples that pi**ed me off include The Hulk(contains moderate violence and scary moments!),and 2 Fast 2 Furious(contains street racing!) HELLO? Again,if you've seen the first one or have seen publicity for these films you know you can expect to see scenes of street racing!
Also 'contains one use of strong language' is another one that annoys me. Why issue a warning about the whole film just because someone says, for example,'bloody hell' ONCE? What's next? ER and Casualty shown with a warning that 'this programme contains medical scenes' maybe??!!
