Excersize help :( i cant run but i need cardio does biking count? i can do that.. haha?

i really cant run i have to short of breaths and i cant concentrate on doing it that long only maybe half of one fourth of a mile saddly
and i do have some leg muscle im not overweight i just cant run
any other cardio or good excersizing ideas?

biking is good. Elliptical machines and stair steppers are options too. If you want a good cardio workout that also is a whole body workout, try a rowing machine. Swimming is also a very good choice.

I would also recommend going to bodybuilding.com and read the articles they have a cardio, nutrition, etc.
 
As a swimmer, Im telling you to swim. It is the best form of exercise known, it works all parts of being Physically Fit.
 
yes biking does count, u can also try a tread mill where u can control the speed of the machine and then u can walk instead of run and still get your cardio in. you can also do aerobics that's an excellent way to get the heart pumping....
 
haha im not much of a runner either. but running isnt the only way to get a cardio workout!
swimming, dancing, biking, tennis, any sport really. as long as you get your body moving works :)
 
Biking counts. The thing you don't get is the benefit of building stronger bones through running (the high impact does this).Also with biking, you might have to rev up the intensity.

If you're short of breath with running maybe you should start your running program slowly. Such as running for a half a minute and walking for 2-3, repeat that until you get 30 minutes, for a week. Then next week run for a minute, walk for a minute. You're aiming to run more than walk.

But biking is more fun :)
