Exceeded expectations

Phish - at first listen i was like what is this greatful dead wanna be bull$hit..after seeing them live, damn, they are such amazing musicians, each of them...Ive seen them several times since then. To bad they broke up, but something tells me they will tour again. Trey Anastasio and Les Claypool with the drummer from The Police are in Oysterhead, good stuff there too.

Mine is...are ya' ready for this... BON JOVI !!!!! I still don't like their music, but I got dragged kicking and screaming to one of their shows 15 years ago (yeah, I'm dating myself here) and I couldn't believe the amount od energy and passion they put into their performance. They were relentless! Like I said I still don't like their music, but I have a lot more respect for them than I used to.
I also tagged along to a Bad Company show one time thinking - "It can't possibly be TOO bad", and it was the musical equivalent of watching grass grow. AWFULL !!!!!!

The Rolling Stones were way better to me after seeing them live at the SARS Benifit@! and a $20.00 a ticket, with ACDC and Jeff Healy, and Tea Party, and the Guess Who, and Rush all as other headliners, I became a rock and roll girl to the max that day

Mogwai, I already liked them, but seeing them live done things to me that only Mogwai can do. Sonic Youth & ..And you will know us by the trail of dead were everything I could ever have wanted live too.

I know of many people changing their minRAB about the Stripes after seeing a live show, they are pretty tight live, when Jack can be bothered.

probably muse, i was a fan of them before, i liked their 1st and 3rd albums, yet after the show i loved all 3 plus hulabaloo, one of my favourite banRAB now. matt bellamy is a brilliantly skilled musician.

And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead.

Had been slightly underwhelmed by their first album, then saw them supporting Foo Fighters and they soundly rocked them off the stage.
