I went to a lecture entitled 'how to get a job in the city', the guy who gave the talk gave a few pieces of practical help. He told us to pass the FSA exams BEFORE the interview stage, thus saving the company time and money required to train the successful applicant. There are a few certificates out there that claim you will become legally able to advise under the FSA's regulations. Which is the most popular/ standard? Also where can i obtain cheap learning resources (i don't particualrly want to fork out for a BPP or 7city course, i'll just take my time and learn it myself), anywhere with second hand goods? I'm interested in assest/wealth/investment management taking the route of an analyst rather than an associate. Thanks in advance.
