Me ex and I were together for over 5 years and have 3 children. The split was very ugly. He is a cop and was harassing, threatning me, and stalking me. He beat me one night with his fists and belt. The next day I filed a restraining order and pressed charges. In oct, my mom committed suicide. Because of how it happened (she went missing) I turned to him for help to locate her since he had connections. He continued to verbally abuse me and pop up at my house. He's always calling me deragatory names and telling me I'm a bad mother. He said my mom killed herself because of me.
Anyways, in nov. of 2009, he moved out of my house and left all of his furniture here. He hasn't bothered to pick up his furniture once until now. This is not a problem. My issue is that he wants me to drop everything I'm doing, cancel all my appointments when HE WANTS ME TO so he can get his furniture. I had all of his furniture ready for him to pick up weeks ago. When he dropped the kids off the 1st time he said he did't have time. he other 4 times he hasn't even tried even when it was in the living room for him to see. I personally think he forfeited his furniture since it's been so long in my house but i want this to be peaceful and over. Today, he contacts me and we agreed for him to get it sunday. he calls back and says he gets it tonight or else he isn't picking up the kids to spend time with them until he gets his furniture. I've spent so much of my free time doing interviews, statements, talking to lawyers about the things that have happened especially since he's a cop. The last thing I want to do is spend the first weekend I've had off in forever with him in my house for some hours. He called several times today, I called several times. He texts, Me too. Because I didn't let him come tonight which I couldn't because I wasn't home, he is now not going to pick up our kids from daycare and leave it on me (when he knows I can't because I'll be at work and it is his weekend) then try to take me to court and sue me for full custody if I abandon them at daycare tomorrow. After texting for a few hrs, he send me a message that says, "don't call or text me until we go to court. If u do, I'm filing a harrasement report." He's contacted me though. he did more texting and stared it. All of this craziness because I didn't cancel my plans tonight so he could get it tonight instead of sunday when he drops the kids off. I have old texts from the last month with him caling me all types of names and saying ugly things about me and my family and i would only say "ok." Can he really charge me with harassement? Since he is paying child support and if i'm not able to find someone to pick them up, will this appear as if I was irresponsible with my children? He doesn't even work tomorrow. Please good answers and advice. I'm tired of the drama.
