MEOW I'm a kitteh

I was looking through old photos from a few years ago, and wow I look so nasty in a lot of them, I never realized it because back then computer screens weren't as clear. I look sooo chalky and gross! Why is that? Do I look like I have dry skin or something? I think I may be wearing a sheer foundation, or nothing, but definitely was using CG pressed power, that's what I used back then.

^I think in this one I may have been wearing foundation, too.

Now, I found these other pictures of me and although my skin tone looks uneven in them, I look more ...natural? I don't know. My face looks kind of more oily (I have an oily tzone), but it doesn't look weird and chalky like the other ones. I don't remember what kind of face makeup I was wearing in these. What kind of makeup do you wear to get a less chalky affect? Or maybe it's CG is cheap crap, no? LOL

I ask these questions because I stopped wearing makeup much a couple years ago, but want to start wearing it again but without the nasty chalky look! Not sure what to do, I think I always used powder to soak up oiliness. Could it just be that it's CG and that's a cheap brand? Like the talc?
I take back the "kind of more oily" more like really oily LOL but that's better than some nasty chalky look :/
I just burn, goober. That's as dark as I get.
