Evolutionists -- If civilization has been evolving, then why is mortality...

...decreasing now? As a Christian, I see an increase of people pulling away from God and the Bible (10 Commandments). As this happens, we have more chaos in the world. God is in control and we need to follow Him. As we turn from God, we lose our morals more and more.

Call me crazy but I think that could have something to do with modern medicine, healthier life styles, and an increased awareness of what causes diseases and how to treat them.

there isn't more chaos, just larger populations, and thus, more idiots to cause chaos... Often times in the name of folklore...

You mean our life expectancies haven't increased with the help of modern medicine?

Make sure to go around the hospital when you get severely injured, and not in it!

The reason there is more chaos in the world today is because our technology has skyrocketed just in the last fifty years. And with new technology comes new and more efficient ways of killing people.

If people in biblical times had S.K.U.D. missiles and nukes, they would probably have killed just as many people as we do now. Religion has nothing to do with that, stop trying to incorporate god into the worlds problems, you soul soliciting pig f*cker.

But for the sake of argument, let's pretend that you actually knew what you were talking about when you brought evolution into this. Anyone who is actually savvy on the development of society and its morals would be able to tell you that we have never evolved. The ancient Greeks, although lacking in our technology, were just as civilized as we are today.

There have been no major breakthroughs in the way people treat each other, only more affective ways of persecuting them have come about. They say that the gap between normal people and philosophers is greater than the gap between normal humans and the common ape. Do you want to know why that is? To answer that question, I'll ask another. Between the two major behaviors of man, which is more universal; fear or laziness?

Actually, if everything falls apart as soon as people turn away from god, that mean he was never in control, he only made everyone think he is.

Not that it does, but it's one of the several internal contradictions in this rant.

Civilization doesn't evolve in the sense you mean.It changes and grows.

Do you know the definition of the word mortality?I think not.Mortality doesn't seem to be decreasing.

All of your assertions are wrong.

The chaos and strife in the world right now seems to be based more on religious beliefs than anything else.
Mortality is decreasing because science has made progress in fighting the conditions that previously caused higher death rates. But I'm guessing that you actually meant to say morality instead of mortality.
When it comes to morals I'll put mine up against the average christian any day of the week. I've been married for 24 years with never a thought of cheating or divorce. I've raised two children who have never smoked so much as a cigarette let alone do drugs. I don't believe in lying or cheating or stealing and I have been working and paying taxes since I was 15. I spent a total of 21 years in the military and my last (and only) brush with the law was a traffic ticket in 1969.
Your religion is important to you and I honor that but you really need to broaden your horizons and understand that there are literally millions and millions of good, honorable, "moral" people that don't believe in the same god as you.

What decrease in morality?

Read some history. Our civilization is far ahead of most in the past in terms of moral behavior, recognition of human rights and crime rates.

Preachers tell scare stories about rampant immorality just to stir up the flock. People believe them because they all look back at their childhoods and remember an ideal time with no problems (of course they weren't aware of what was going on in the larger world) and think that somehow everything has gone downhill. That's simply not true.

"Morality" isn't decreasing. In fact, in both the US and overall in the world, there is less crime, murder, and other "immorality" now than at any other time in human history. There is considerably LESS "chaos" now than ever.

Next time, try some facts.

Peace.

First of all, civilization doesn't evolve in the biological sense, but in a more general sense. Mortality is decreasing because of advances in medical care, contraception, and communication.

Everything has ups and downs. And civilization was started and developing long before Christians. There were rich traditions all across this globe for thousands of years and none of those people had the bible. Also look at all the things Christians have done to push society back. Wars, slavery, oppression all based on the bible.
