Wh...where did the Gundams go.....(The 90's and 10's guys have no Asuka/Rei models. Fail. )

On HJU forums somone mentioned that the 2010 guy looked much better-looking than the 80's and 90's guys. There, ladies and gentlemen, explains everything.

No seriously....the Gundams are gone, this is a serious problem.
 
Heh. We need some female examples to supplement that male example. Too bad all my stuff is in moving boxes or I would have shared.

I think the posters come from the greater availability of that stuff and from stores like Right Stuf or Amazon (where anime merch is plentiful) now compared to the 80s and 90s.
 
It's also a common fact that "sunlight" frightens nerRAB of all kinRAB, in fact 90% of the TZ is afraid of the outside world.
 
Nah, it's cool. I have +6 against fire damage, and a potion that uses sunlight to refuel my mana points. So I can go outside whenever I want.

But yeah, inaccurate. I think they're sticking with the most pathetic on the last one there. XD
 
I don't identify with this at all, so the humor is lost on me. Maybe I'm supposed to laugh at other people that are crazier than I am, but that gets old pretty quick.

In regard to moe stuff killing gaint robots, I'm coming to believe that the reports of the mecha genre's death were greatly exaggerated thanks to recent developments (Gothicmade, Kihei Senki Legacies, Broken Blade, Gundam's general above-average excellence since 2007).
 
Truthfully, I probably came a lot closer to the 2010 room - never did have the patience for model building (or rather that patience was put into programming, music composition, and journalism/modding,) but without the obscenity.

I say came because none of my anime stuff is at my temporary home - I wonder how many otaku operate like that when they go off to college...
 
@Kouji: I thought the 2010 guy looks like it was drawn by the Zetsubou-sensei artist.

Well, half the stuff will be IN 3-DEEEEE! and I think a holographic moe slave would be per the norm.
